The programme commenced with a prayer and acharyavandanam rendered melodiously by Sneha V and Sruthi V, which created a peaceful and reflective atmosphere. The session was compered by Sruthi V, who ensured a smooth and well-coordinated flow of the day’s events.
The Thought for the Day was presented by Sneha P and Sneha R on the theme “The Value of Being a Good Listener.” The presenters emphasized that listening is more than hearing. It is an active and mindful process that builds trust, strengthens relationships, and fosters empathy. They highlighted that a good listener not only understands words but also emotions, making communication meaningful and compassionate.
Through relatable examples and thoughtful reflections, the speakers reminded the audience that being a good listener helps resolve conflicts, improves concentration, and contributes to personal growth. They also stressed that in a world filled with noise and distractions, the ability to listen attentively is a rare yet powerful skill, especially for students and future teachers.
The insightful session encouraged the audience to practise patient and nonjudgmental listening in their daily interactions. The message was well received by both students and faculty, inspiring them to cultivate deeper understanding and meaningful communication.
