The IT Club of NSS Training College organized an “App for the Week” programme on 10 March 2026 (Tuesday) by the 1st Year B.Ed English students. The programme began with a prayer by Preena. P and Anagha Surendran.


The app introduced for the week was Vocabulary Builder. The application was presented by Shravya S, who explained its features and usefulness in improving vocabulary. The programme was compared by A Remsiya.


The session was conducted under the guidance of Dr. K. Sajan, IT Club Coordinator, and Prof. (Dr.) Suresh Kumar K, Principal in charge. The programme was informative and helpful for the students.

The B.Ed First Year Malayalam students of NSS Training College, Ottapalam organized a meaningful programme titled “Thought for the Day” on 25th February 2026 at 9:30 a.m. in the College Auditorium. The theme of the programme was:


“Every Life is Valuable, and Every Struggle Deserves Support — Not Silence.”



The programme commenced with a solemn Prayer and Acharyavandanam, led by Jayanandhana P. and Namitha C., creating an atmosphere of reflection, empathy, and respect. The session was compered by Daya B., who ensured the smooth progression of the programme.



The theme presentation was delivered jointly by Dilsha N. P. and Anugraha M. They highlighted the importance of emotional well-being, mutual support, and open communication within educational spaces. The speakers emphasized that every individual faces struggles in different forms and that a compassionate environment can help individuals overcome challenges with confidence and dignity. The presentation encouraged students to be sensitive to others’ experiences, to listen without judgment, and to build a culture of care and inclusiveness within campuses.



The speakers also stressed the role of educational institutions in nurturing values such as empathy, understanding, and collective responsibility, reminding students that silence in the face of distress can be harmful, whereas timely support can positively transform lives.


The programme concluded with the National Anthem, marking a respectful end to the session.


The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Anu S., Teacher-in-Charge, and with the support of Prof. (Dr.) Smitha R., Principal-in-Charge, whose encouragement and leadership ensured the success of the programme.

A Thought for the Day programme was successfully conducted on 23rd February 2026 at 9:30 AM in the General Hall. The event was organized by the B.Ed First Year English Optional students with the objective of highlighting the importance of listening as a core human value that enhances communication, understanding, and empathy in everyday life.


The programme commenced with a prayer and acharyavandanam rendered melodiously by Sneha V and Sruthi V, which created a peaceful and reflective atmosphere. The session was compered by Sruthi V, who ensured a smooth and well-coordinated flow of the day’s events.


The Thought for the Day was presented by Sneha P and Sneha R on the theme “The Value of Being a Good Listener.” The presenters emphasized that listening is more than hearing. It is an active and mindful process that builds trust, strengthens relationships, and fosters empathy. They highlighted that a good listener not only understands words but also emotions, making communication meaningful and compassionate.


Through relatable examples and thoughtful reflections, the speakers reminded the audience that being a good listener helps resolve conflicts, improves concentration, and contributes to personal growth. They also stressed that in a world filled with noise and distractions, the ability to listen attentively is a rare yet powerful skill, especially for students and future teachers.


The insightful session encouraged the audience to practise patient and nonjudgmental listening in their daily interactions. The message was well received by both students and faculty, inspiring them to cultivate deeper understanding and meaningful communication.


The programme concluded on a reflective note, marking the end of a well organized and value oriented session. Overall, the event was enriching, motivating, and aligned with the institution’s vision of nurturing thoughtful, empathetic, and value driven individuals.

App for the week programme was successfully conducted on 10th February 2026 at 9:30 AM in the General Hall. The programme was organized by the First Year B.Ed English students. 


The app introduced for the week was English Sentence Make & Learn. The programme aimed at familiarizing students with an innovative educational application that helps learners improve their English sentence construction skills. The app focuses on enhancing vocabulary, grammar, and sentence formation in an interactive and engaging manner. It serves as an effective tool for English language learners and teachers alike.


The programme was compered by Rajalakshmi K. The app presentation was carried out by Safeena C, who clearly explained the features, uses, and benefits of the application. She also demonstrated how the app can be effectively used in classrooms to improve students’ language proficiency.


The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. K. Sajan, Coordinator of the IT Club, and Prof. Dr. Smitha R, Principal-in-Charge. Their support and encouragement contributed to the smooth and successful conduct of the programme.


The session was informative and beneficial for the students, as it introduced them to a useful digital tool that can enhance English language learning. The programme concluded successfully with positive feedback from the participants.

APP FOR THE WEEK - SUPER ALARM

                                               

On February 3, 2026, the Department of 1st Year B.Ed Physical Science at NSS Training College, Ottapalam, a Research Centre in Education accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC, successfully conducted the "App for the Week" program at the college General Hall.


Commencing at 9:30 AM, the session was dedicated to the formal introduction of "Super Alarm," a digital application designed to optimize time management and productivity for student-teachers. The proceedings were professionally moderated by Athira T N, while the technical features and pedagogical utility of the application were comprehensively presented by Architha Ranjan. Organized under the academic supervision of Dr. K. S. Sajan (Teacher in Charge) and the distinguished patronage of Prof. Dr. Smitha R (Principal in Charge), this initiative underscores the institution's ongoing commitment to fostering digital literacy and integrating modern technological tools into the professional repertoire of future educators.
