The B.Ed First Year Malayalam students of NSS Training College, Ottapalam organized a meaningful programme titled “Thought for the Day” on 25th February 2026 at 9:30 a.m. in the College Auditorium. The theme of the programme was:


“Every Life is Valuable, and Every Struggle Deserves Support — Not Silence.”



The programme commenced with a solemn Prayer and Acharyavandanam, led by Jayanandhana P. and Namitha C., creating an atmosphere of reflection, empathy, and respect. The session was compered by Daya B., who ensured the smooth progression of the programme.



The theme presentation was delivered jointly by Dilsha N. P. and Anugraha M. They highlighted the importance of emotional well-being, mutual support, and open communication within educational spaces. The speakers emphasized that every individual faces struggles in different forms and that a compassionate environment can help individuals overcome challenges with confidence and dignity. The presentation encouraged students to be sensitive to others’ experiences, to listen without judgment, and to build a culture of care and inclusiveness within campuses.



The speakers also stressed the role of educational institutions in nurturing values such as empathy, understanding, and collective responsibility, reminding students that silence in the face of distress can be harmful, whereas timely support can positively transform lives.


The programme concluded with the National Anthem, marking a respectful end to the session.


The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Anu S., Teacher-in-Charge, and with the support of Prof. (Dr.) Smitha R., Principal-in-Charge, whose encouragement and leadership ensured the success of the programme.

APP FOR THE WEEK - SUPER ALARM

                                               

On February 3, 2026, the Department of 1st Year B.Ed Physical Science at NSS Training College, Ottapalam, a Research Centre in Education accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC, successfully conducted the "App for the Week" program at the college General Hall.


Commencing at 9:30 AM, the session was dedicated to the formal introduction of "Super Alarm," a digital application designed to optimize time management and productivity for student-teachers. The proceedings were professionally moderated by Athira T N, while the technical features and pedagogical utility of the application were comprehensively presented by Architha Ranjan. Organized under the academic supervision of Dr. K. S. Sajan (Teacher in Charge) and the distinguished patronage of Prof. Dr. Smitha R (Principal in Charge), this initiative underscores the institution's ongoing commitment to fostering digital literacy and integrating modern technological tools into the professional repertoire of future educators.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY -Most people don’t fail because they are incapable – they fail because they are distracted.

 A Thought for the Day programme was successfully conducted on 29th January 2026 at 9:30 AM in the General Hall of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, which is a NAAC A+ accredited institution. The programme was organized by the B.Ed First Year Mathematics Optional students with the aim of inspiring students to develop focus, self-discipline, and clarity in their academic and personal lives.


The programme commenced with a prayer and acharyavandhanam, rendered soulfully by Anu Krishna A P and Serene Stanley, creating a calm and reflective atmosphere. The session was efficiently compered by Darshana K, who ensured the smooth flow of the programme.

The Thought for the Day was presented by Anusree M P and Gayathri G K on the topic “Most people don’t fail because they are incapable – they fail because they are distracted.” The speakers highlighted how lack of focus and distractions often become major obstacles to success. Through simple examples and meaningful reflections, they emphasized the importance of concentration, goal setting, and mindful living, especially for students.

The thought-provoking session encouraged the audience to introspect on their daily habits and inspired them to prioritize their goals with dedication and perseverance. The message was well received by the students and faculty present.

The programme concluded with the National Anthem, marking a respectful and dignified end to the session. The overall programme was meaningful, motivating, and aligned with the institution’s objective of nurturing disciplined and value-oriented individuals.

The IT Club of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, in collaboration with the 1st Year English Optional students. The App for the Week programme was successfully conducted on 27 January 2026 at 9.30 a.m. in the General Hall of NSS Training College, Ottapalam. 


The session aimed to introduce a useful mobile application that promotes daily motivation and positive thinking among students and teachers. 


The app presented for the week was “Motivation – Daily Quotes”, which provides inspiring quotes to encourage self-growth, confidence, and a positive mindset.


The programme began with a warm welcome and was effectively compered by Krishnapriya C.K. 


The app was presented by Krishna Damodar, who clearly explained the features, usability, and benefits of the application. The presentation highlighted how daily motivational quotes can enhance emotional well-being, improve focus, and support learners in both academic and personal life.


The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. K. S. Sajan, IT Club Cordinator, and Prof. Dr. Smitha R, Principal-in-Charge.


 The session was informative and engaging, and it encouraged students to explore educational and motivational applications as part of their learning journey.
