Thought For The Day


 A “Thought for the Day” programme was organised by the B.Ed. First Year Malayalam students of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, on 10 September 2026 at 9:30 AM at the General Hall. The programme aimed to inspire students and encourage values of empathy, hope and social responsibility.

The programme began with a prayer rendered by Fathima Hanna, Amsuri K.S. and Athira K. Amrutha K.M. served as the compere and coordinated the proceedings.

The thought for the day was presented by Subin U. and Najiya Thasneem. The theme focused on opening our hearts to the pain and struggles of others and becoming a source of hope and light. The message encouraged everyone to respond to the difficulties of others with compassion, understanding and positivity.

College Assembly y


 A College Assembly was organized by the B.Ed. First Year Natural Science students of N.S.S. Training College, Ottapalam, on Wednesday, 9 September 2026 at 9:30 a.m. at the College Auditorium. 

The assembly began with a prayer, presented by Adithya V., Aparna A. and Sujinat T., creating a calm and positive atmosphere. This was followed by the News Reading by Nandana Krishna N, who presented important current affairs.

The Pledge was led by Nidha E.K., reminding the students of their responsibilities and commitment as future teachers. Rajiyya C.P. presented the Thought of the Day, which provided the students with an inspiring message for the day.

The programme continued with the Anchor session, conducted by Geethu K, who coordinated the different segments of the assembly smoothly. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem, instilling a sense of patriotism and unity among the participants.

Thought for the Day

 

A “Thought for the Day” programme was organized by the B.Ed. First Year English students of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, on Tuesday, 8 September 2026, at 9:30 a.m. in the General Hall.The programme commenced with a prayer presented by Gayathri M.J., Ardhra M. and Vipin K.V. The session was then coordinated by Rabeea, who served as the comperer.

The main highlight of the programme was the presentation of the Thought for the Day by Aiswarya U.N. and Anirudhan P. The thought selected for the day was:

“The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled.” — Plutarch

The quotation conveyed an important message about the purpose of education. It emphasized that education should not merely involve filling students with information, but should encourage curiosity, critical thinking, creativity and the desire to learn. The message was particularly meaningful for prospective teachers, reminding them of their responsibility to inspire learners and nurture their intellectual potential.

The programme concluded with the National Anthem, marking the formal closing of the session.

College Assembly

 


A College Assembly was organised by the B.Ed. First Year Mathematics students of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, on 02 September 2026 at 9:30 AM at the College Auditorium.

The programme commenced with a prayer presented by Akshaya, Nithya and Sreesanker. This was followed by the news reading by Salini and the pledge led by Sreelakshmi. The Thought for the Day was presented by Niranjana, conveying a meaningful message to the students and staff. Malavika served as the anchor and coordinated the proceedings of the assembly.

The assembly concluded with the National Anthem, marking the formal closing of the programme.

The programme was conducted in an orderly and meaningful manner, providing the student teachers with an opportunity to develop their leadership, communication, coordination and organisational skills.

Thought for the Day


 A programme was organised by the B.Ed. First Year Physical Science class of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, in connection with National Nutrition Week on 1 September 2026 at 9:30 AM in the General Hall. The programme aimed to create awareness among student teachers about the importance of balanced nutrition and healthy food habits.

The programme commenced with Prayer and Acharyavandanam, presented by Sreelakshmi Sudeep, Archana H.S. and Suhadha. Ansiya K served as the compere and coordinated the proceedings.

The Thought for the Day was presented by Mega Gupta and Anamika, focusing on the importance of proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices. The message emphasised that good nutrition is essential for maintaining health and building a healthier future.
