Report on the Thought for the Day Programme

The B.Ed Malayalam Optional students of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, organized a thoughtful programme titled "Thought for the Day" on 28th July 2025 at 9:30 a.m. in the General Hall. The theme of the programme was :
"The Role of Mother Tongue in Personality Development".
The event began with a solemn prayer and a respectful Acharyavandanam lead by Jayanandhana P and Anugraha M paying homage to the teachers and mentors. The session was beautifully and confidently anchored by Athirakrishna E.S
The key presentation on the topic was delivered by Samveda P who emphasized the deep-rooted connection between language and identity. They highlighted how one’s mother tongue shapes cognitive development, emotional expression, cultural understanding, and overall personality formation. Their talk was well-researched, informative, and reflective of their commitment to the subject.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Seema Menon K.P., Teacher in Charge, and received wholehearted support from Prof. Smitha R., Principal in Charge.
Overall, the event was a grand success and served as a meaningful platform for encouraging linguistic pride and personality development among future educators.

The B.Ed. English Optional Students of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, successfully organized a “Thought for the Day” program on 25th July 2025 at 9:30 AM in the General Hall. The theme of the session was:
"Reading: A Habit Being Forgotten"
The program aimed to rekindle interest in reading among students and highlight its relevance in the digital age. It was well-received by the attendees, who appreciated the relevance and timely nature of the topic.
Program Schedule and Highlights:
Prayer & Acharyavandanam: Led by Akshaya K. and Anagha Surendran, the event commenced on a serene and respectful note, invoking blessings for a successful session.
Compering: The program was smoothly anchored by A. Remsiya, who ensured a well-paced and engaging flow of events.
Topic Presentation:
Insightful presentations were delivered by Jisha K. J. and Krishna Damodar, who elaborated on the gradual decline in reading habits, its implications on personal and academic development, and how students can cultivate a reading culture in today’s fast-paced world.
