The “Thought for the Day” programme was successfully conducted on 29th September 2025 at 9:30 am in the General Hall of NSS Training College, Ottapalam.


 The programme was organised by the B.Ed English Optional students 


The day’s thought was based on the inspiring theme: “Beyond Comfort, Begins Growth.”


Programme schedule and highlights :

The programme began with a soulful prayer and Acharyavandanam led by Anagha Surendran and A. Remsiya


Compeering: The session was smoothly compered by Jisha K.J.



Topic presentation:

 The highlight of the programme was the thoughtful presentation on the topic by Sneha V. and Sruthi V., who explained the value of stepping outside one’s comfort zone as a way to achieve personal and professional growth. Their words encouraged students to embrace challenges and view discomfort as a path to progress. It not only reminded the audience of the importance of resilience and courage in facing life’s hurdles but also motivated everyone to apply the message in their own lives.

BOOK REVIEW AND APP FOR THE WEEK

 The B.Ed. Natural Science optional students of NSS Training College, Ottapalam conducted two innovative academic programmes on 19th September 2025 in the General Hall.

1. Book Review – Kappirikalude Naattil by S. K. Pottekkatt

On 19th September 2025, a book review session was conducted by Navya B and Treesamol C. J., B.Ed. Natural Science optional students. They reviewed the famous travelogue Kappirikalude Naattil written by S. K. Pottekkatt, which describes the author’s experiences and observations in Africa. The presentation gave students an insight into the literary richness, cultural perspectives, and travel writing style of the author.








Both the programmes were coordinated under the guidance of Dr. K. S. Sajan, IT Club coordinator, and Dr. Mridula K, Teacher-in-Charge. The sessions were well-received and provided valuable academic enrichment to the student community.



2. App for the Week – “Flo”

On 19th September 2025, the IT Club and Natural Science students jointly organized the “App for the Week” programme. The app introduced was “Flo”, presented by Aswathi K P




The session explained the uses, features, and relevance of the app, especially in the field of health and wellness. The programme helped students become aware of how technology can be applied for better personal and social well-being.

SCHOOL ASSEMBLY

                                                     College Assembly

NSS Training College, Ottapalam held a vibrant College Assembly on 17th September 2025 at 9:30 am in the College Auditorium. The assembly was organized by the enthusiastic 1st Year Physical Science optional students, showcasing active student participation and leadership.The program commenced with a prayer led by Anagha and Anupama, followed by a pledge recited by Aleena. Arathi captivated the audience with a news reading session, while Aparna shared the "Thought for the Day," inspiring all attendees


.Vyshnavi delivered the assembly address, setting the tone for the day's proceedings. The
assembly also took time to honor student achievements, with Anirudh recognizing outstanding contributions by peers. The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, fostering a spirit of unity and patriotism.

WORLD OZONE DAY-FROM SCIENCE TO GLOBAL ACTION

 The Science Club of NSS Training College, Ottapalam organized a programme on World Ozone Day on 16th September 2025 in the General Hall at 9:30 AM. The theme of this year’s celebration was “From Science to Global Action”.

The programme was  compered by Amrutha K and prayer and Acharyavandanam led by Athira Haridas and Kavya. A presentation on the significance of ozone layer protection and measures to prevent ozone depletion was delivered by Gowri and Angel Joshy, which was highly informative and inspiring. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.




The event highlighted the importance of environmental protection and created awareness among students regarding sustainable actions to safeguard the ozone layer. The efforts of the Science Club, teachers, and student presenters made the programme a successful and meaningful one.

Programme Schedule and Highlights:


The “Thought for the Day” programme was organized by the First-Year Mathematics optional students of NSS Training College, Ottapalam on 15th September 2025 at 9:30 a.m. in the General Hall.

The programme began with a prayer and Acharyavandhanam by Anu Krishna A P and Sneha K B, setting a serene and positive atmosphere. This was followed by compering handled by Varsha S, who led the event with confidence and clarity.

The central presentation on the day’s thought was effectively delivered by Meera P and Fidha T, who emphasized the power of a smile in spreading happiness, building relationships, and making a difference in someone’s life.

Their presentation inspired the audience to adopt a positive attitude and understand the value of small gestures of kindness in everyday life.










The programme concluded with the National Anthem, instilling a sense of pride and unity among all present.

The B.Ed. Mathematics optional students of NSS Training College, Ottapalam organized a Book Review Programme on the celebrated Malayalam novel “Orikkal” written by E.N. Mohanan. The event was held on 12th September 2025 at 9:30 a.m. in the General Hall of the college.

The programme commenced with the National Anthem, followed by a brief introduction of the author and his literary contributions. The students Anusree M.P. and Sreeshma M.V. led the book review session, highlighting the major themes, narrative style, and social relevance of the novel. The review shed light on the emotional depth of the story, its artistic qualities, and the way it reflects the realities of life and relationships.

The session also encouraged an interactive discussion where participants shared their interpretations and reflections on the novel. The review was appreciated for its clarity, analysis, and insightful presentation.

The programme was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Lekshmi V (Teacher-in-charge) and with the support of Prof. (Dr.) Smitha R, Principal-in-charge. The College Assembly of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, was conducted on 10th September 2025 at 9:30 AM in the college open auditorium. The programme was coordinated by the B.Ed English Optional students under the supervision of Mrs. Seema C, Teacher in Charge, and was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Smitha R, Principal in Charge.



Programme Overview:

Prayer:

The assembly commenced with a prayer by Sneha P, Sneha R, and Akshaya K, which created a calm and positive atmosphere.


Pledge:

The national pledge was led by Rajlakshmi K, instilling a spirit of the unity, integrity, and patriotism among the gathering.


News Reading:

Meera P. presented the day’s news, updating the audience on current affairs, giving students an overview of important national and international updates.



Thought for the Day:

An inspiring thought was shared by Krishnapriya C.K, encouraging everyone to begin the day with positivity and determination.


Achievements:

The achievements of students were highlighted by Meera Krishna, which brought recognition to the efforts and successes of the college community.

Safeena C, addressed the gathering smoothly coordinating the sequences of events and engaging the audience throughout the programme.
